Lady Bird, the coming-of-age movie that won the Golden Globe for Best Musical or Comedy and for a few perfect weeks had a 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, is pretty much this decade’s magnum opus.
It’s hard to believe that the Oscar contender could get any better, but Twitter user @laterchalemet did just that. In their incredible work of art, @laterchalemet replaced all of the dialogue in Lady Bird with their own anguished yelling.
They even replaced the camera’s shutter sound with their own screams.
you screaming the camera sound has me dead

Every sound in this version of the trailer is screams, including a softly yelled cover of The Monkees’ “As We Go Along.”
hahaha the quiet screamsinging is the best part

And somehow, @laterchalemet’s voiceover makes the heart-wrenching scenes between Lady Bird and her mother even more relatable.
The parody is getting rave reviews from critics.
But don’t dare attack the original Lady Bird’s perfection.
This is @laterchalamet’s first screamed trailer, but they’re already getting requests for edits of 2017’s biggest movies, including Timothée Chalamet’s Call Me By Your Name.
oh my god have you done CMBYN? please do CMBYN. pl e a s e

Screaming is clearly popular with Lady Bird devotees — maybe it’s time to take some artistic direction from this, A24.
